I use this book frequently in my studies. It's quite complete with every possible quick reference chart pertaining to Biblical Hebrew you might ever need.The only part I'm not a fan of is the conjugation order (e.g., 3ms, 2fs, 2ms, 2fs, 1cs, 3mp, etc). Since I'm learning with the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies (the online entity of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem), and they order the conjugations per normal English standards (e.g., 1cs, 2ms, 3ms, etc), it's a struggle to switch paradigms when I reference this book.
To learn Hebrew is a daunting task. There is so much to learn--rules, exceptions to rules, exceptions to the exceptions. This book puts together simple to follow--and easy to read--paradigms. It has helped immensely to learn important elements of the language that are key to reading and understanding the language. I am so glad that I purchased this book which has helped me as I have done homework assignments, and to learn the paradigms (or rules) of the language.
Best book online for Hebrew, Universities use this book... easy to go by, BUT Hebrew is not easy to learn as many claim it is, but these books are the best for learning. I am in my 2nd semester of Hebrew
Arrived earlier than expected. This isn't a "pocket book" was a lot larger than expected, more of a resource book. Nice large charts and cd with more extensive charts in it.
It's a good complement, but not essential. It's good because you have the elementary information of Gary's Hebrew grammar here. I bought it because I need a material to prepare mine classes and it seemed objective to me. Considering that, For me it's ok. But the grammar book it's still more helpful than this one.
This book is a great help.
A good book, but there's no way I'm going to memorize all those verb charts.
Love the charts and they go well the main book really well!!
