You Meet You: A JournalThis is such a beautiful book!I have been journaling for as long as I can remember.Even got my daughter started when she was about 6.With this book it is small enough you could really keep it with you if you wanted to.There are four sections in the book.InspirationsStrengthsRelationshipsDreamsEach two page spread has a quote on one side with the prompt on the other side.Some pages are lined and some are not.It is filled with wonderful quotes that correspond with the prompt and such beautiful font and watercolors on the pages.Would not have to go in order but it is set up this way as some pages will talk about previous writings.It is simply a great way to stop and take a moment just for yourself.Seems we have to be reminded that it is truly ok to think about ourselves and do something that makes us happy.This book is really a way to just look over your own thoughts and ideas about your life.Would make an amazing graduation gift for that special young lady.I know I am going to be gifting this one this year even for Mother's day.Overall I like this book ever so much. Dare I say Love but well can't really love a book but think this comes close.
I am impressed with this small beautiful journal for self-discovery. It asks questions for self-reflection which helps the journaler realize who they are in an attempt to help recognize who their authentic self is vs. what they may portray to the outside world. This journal has abstract pretty and calm watercolor painted page decorations with inspiring quotes that make your think.Based on the quotes this seems marketed to females and the questions include looking back on school and relationships so it is for females at least 25 years old -- although many of these could be answered by high school aged girls who want to get to know themselves better. In working with high schoolers this semester in art class we do some of these same exercises for art journal assignments and I am shocked that some of the girls and even more boys are out of touch with who they are as individuals, being disconnected with their interests, their personality traits and beliefs and values and hopes and plans. It would be helpful for teens and all people to know the answers to these questions about themselves so I recommend this activity for all.I really like this journal for self-discovery. It is small and doable and is not intimidating or difficult to complete. I am enjoying using this journal. Rating 5 stars = Love It.
I absolutely love this book! I am a mostly positive person that tries to encourage others. I am big on sharing inspirational quotes and memes. I recently went through a few traumatic experiences and I have been struggling and questioning myself on many things. This book is helping me to reconnect with myself in a positive manner. The prompts are small and simple to do in a few minutes, but they really make you think.When I am done with the book, I know that I will have something inspirational that I can hold on to and refer back to in a time of need. It would also be cool to pass on to loved ones after you are gone. The pages are split between beautiful and inspiring quotes and prompts. Some of the prompts are lists, some are short answers. Some you may need to take a little time to thing about. This book is really well done. I am so happy that I ordered it. I am trying to have patience and just do one page a day in order to fully experience the journey. I would definitely recommend this book.
This is a pretty little book with watercolor graphics that is written primarily in question format that you, the reader, then answer. I think it is a great book for increased self esteem and also self assessment and reflection in general. I like that at times it helps one to identify their support systems, as well as pinpoint their personal traits that they can draw on. There are parts that ask you to pinpoint problem relationships and the focus is put on healing.There’s plenty of room to write out your answers to the questions in the book. I finished a lot of my questions during some time I spent sunning and that worked well with a pencil. I think it makes a nice beach book if you take a pencil - or a good book to take on a plane.I like it. It seemed very therapeutic to me and well worth the time spent completing it.
I am of the persuasion that I can never have enough journals. The You Meet You journal is my new favorite. It's a beautiful and fun way to capture who you are. Filled with inspirational quotes from many different people, and pared with gorgeous images, this is one that any girl would love. Any girl of any age. Some of the writing prompts are surface level and others encourage the reader/writer to dig deep and embrace who they are at the core. I love this book. Journals are perfect for traveling, for quiet time, or for before bedtime.
This book encourages the reader to get to know herself/himself through reflective journaling. The book contains multiple writing prompts and has inspirational quotations throughout set against beautiful watercolor illustrations. It is a beautiful book and would be perfect as a gift or to use in your own self-exploration. I started a few of the prompts and found them to be fun and lighthearted. It gave me some time to reflect on what is happening internally. Overall, very nice book.
I really appreciate how beautiful this little book is. I'm keeping it in my car for when I feel like stopping for a moment and counting my blessings. It would make a fabulous gift too - for Mother's Day, graduation, etc. Nice calming quotes with beautiful watercolors too - and special questions that I can just float through my mind throughout the day to help me stay positive.It would be perfect for a shower gift for a bride to be too.
