I bought this for my alternative high school (teen male) students who hate reading and they LOVED it! Most read it in a single day and couldn't stop talking about it and telling me every detail of what they were reading. I had a waiting list to borrow it! My students had never enjoyed reading, but this book's graphic novel set-up and high-interest plot turned them into readers!
The art work in the graphic novel is awesome, one of the best I have seen lately. The Story line is the exact the same as the regular young adult novel that Walter Dean Myers published years ago.
Such a beautiful artistic representation of the standard novel of Monster. It’s refashioned and updated for a whole new audience. With such a great message I think it was brilliant to redo this novel as a graphic novel so that its message can be heard by a whole new generation!
This book was an assignment in my Literature class. Love the book. Very well written. The author allowed you to see and feel the experience through Steve's eyes. The ending was a lot of emotions. Highly recommended.

This book was so good a kid stole it from my classroom. While it was there, my students were constantly asking to borrow it and read it. I got it as a resource for struggling readers since were were covering the original book in class. It's done really well and helps readers put the events of the story together. Plus it's just cool.
Powerful story. Am saving for my son for when he's 13 or 14.
My daughter wanted this book for her summer reading list, and it was a great alternative to regular novels. It arrived in perfect condition!
