This is arguably the best book Art Models has released thus far. The poses are well-lit, carefully chosen and occasionally very beautiful.WARNING: This book is softcover and does NOT include the companion disk. Though I would have liked to have had the disk included, the reasons for its omission from this book release are perfectly understandable. The book itself is still a valuable reference tool in its own right (I especially liked the new addition of close-ups of hands, feet and faces, and a how-to section for those new to drawing).If you create figurative art, give Art Models the largest amount of support you can. They deserve it.

Art Models 10 is an excellent collection of artist figure poses captured digitally. The quality of the photos is outstanding. They are of sufficient quality to crop and enlarge with no perceivable loss of quality when printed. The professional lighting of the subjects ranges from low to high contrast, making it easy for beginners to render anatomical details.The book and associated dvd (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1936801469) have 106 separate poses plus extra goodies like contact sheets and detail shots. Considering the individual poses cost $6 at the website, and worth every penny that I have spent downloading separate poses, the book is a fantastic deal. Also, one is free to use and sell their art that uses the photos as reference without royalty fees.For beginners, there is an excellent set of tutorials on how to draw and shade the photos in the beginning of the book.Well done! I look forward to more.

I'm a professional artist, have used Art Models figures for several paintings, and have bought all of the Art Model books with their companion discs. I've also seen drawings of Art Model figures by other artists win national prizes. There are a wide range of poses here, male and female, several ethnicities, and varied body shapes, and close ups of hands and faces. The selection of photos is appropriate for nearly all viewers. The pdf that's included also has a good guidebook for beginning figure artists. Using the 360-degree rotating poses on the disc with photo-editing software like Photoshop Elements enables each artist to create an original artwork from the same model's pose.

I ordered this based on the photos in the preview, which led me to think that there would be a balance of male and female figures. This is important to me, since I use male figures more than female figures in my work. This book has the common problem with this kind of book: I call it Fear of the Male Figure. About a third of the figures here are male. In some cases there are multiple shots of female models in a pose, and none of males. There is also a lack of diversity in age and race. For my purposes, this book is a disappointment.

I just love this series! It's just awesome having so many reference poses ready and waiting when I need them. I do like to buy the physical books 1. because I love to support this service, 2. because sometimes I can't pay my internet bill lol, and 3. because sometimes I'm in the zone and grabbing a book for reference is quicker than going online—believe it! But, basically, I actually use the digital photos for my painting work. They're high quality and I can zoom in for the minute detail. I'm collecting quite a lot of books and digital poses, they are absolutely helpful and have improved my art hugely! Please check it out!

there's some alright forms but if you are looking for more male models this book is NOT for you. It's mainly females, and the male poses aren't interesting at all, so I'm extremely disappointed because it's really difficult to find male models that AREN'T erotic. Also the company should just make volumes of these books instead, it's a waste buying them separately like this.

A fine resource for anyone wanting to add the human figure to their artwork. Art Models 10 includes hands, feet and dramatic lighting. I own several books, CD's and love their website with the models poses you can download in 360! I highly recommend!
