This compact, portable laminated pamphlet contains delicate drawings of common plants and trees that were traditionally used for medicinal usage. It is easy to use, with simple, yet detailed, descriptions of the plant, a note on its habitat and a brief line on it's medicinal usage. This is a nice reference for anyone interested in early remedies or simply interested in possible medicinal usage of common, widespread plants.
A great, super light weight and durable information packet. I'm a light "doomsday prepper" with mainly a bag and minimal resources to get me started, should I ever need to. This was perfect for my bag and I know if I ever need it, it will be in my bag and I'll be able to reference it with little effort. Very simplistic yet detailed and great for beginners like myself.
Very cool pocket guide. We added it to our camping stuff and plan on using it for educational scavenger hunts. The descriptions are good, I like that it is durable. This is not a big in-depth know everything about the plant guide since it's made for "pockets" but would serve as a good quick reference when needed. I like it.
Very good job of describing the plant and it's medical uses. The only reason I did not give it a full fives stars is that I would rather have actual photos rather than the color drawings. Yes the drawings are good, but nothing beats a good photo. They have photos on the cover why not in the rest of the pamphlet?
I ordered this for my husband to put in his "go bag". As a former Marine, he is very critical of anything produced that doesn't accurately help the user or is what he considers a fluff product. He really likes this! It is small and compact and laminated so as to be waterproof. Clear language and good pictures make this perfect for identifying the plants.
I bought the Medical Plants and Edible Plants editions. I think these are a nice size to throw in a Bug Out Bag if you don’t want to carry the extra weight of a larger field guide for double checking plant identification. Plus in a survival situation, the laminated paper could be a fire starter if necessary.
I bought two and gave one away. Since then everyone is trying to steal my regaining pamphlet. You just can't trust freaking preppers!
Purchased a few different versions of these for my hunting pack just as a lightweight throw in in case of emergency. The lamination should make ti last quite a while and all have very good relevant info.
